I opened Homeostasis in January of 2014. My goal was to have a Mind Body Holistic Center, as I find that to be the most beneficial approach to optimum wellness. HOMEOSTASIS is the ability to maintain inner balance despite outside influences. I have a highly trained psychologist at Homeostasis, willing to see my clients, as I am willing to see hers for their optimum physical wellness. I have developed a very integrative approach to wellness, finding benefits from several different modalities over the years. I have learned from my own life experiences, as well as my clients. I also take continuing education courses regularly.
I worked as a Touch for Health practitioner at a comprehensive holistic clinic in Sterling, MA for 9 years. I added Craniosacral Fascial Therapy to my training, as I was swayed in the direction of the brilliant Dr. Barry Gillespie (Creator of CFT, Craniofascial Therapy for children and adults) as a treatment for both my daughters with 2 different issues, reccomended by 2 different medical professionals. I knew it was time to learn the work. I moved my practice to an integrative chiropractic office as I was introduced to Nutrition Response Testing, which is a form of kinesiology to assess the energy in the body systems and organs. This system goes a step further in the sense that once a weakness is identified, I can use testing vials to find out if there is a lingering bacteria, virus, heavy metal or other toxicity interfering with optimum wellness. I use whole food product lines, as well as other pharmaceutical grade supplements, and lifestyle changes and an integration of my years of training and practice to help my clients bring balance back to their bodies. The experiences have been amazing.
I love my work and I strive to be extremely approachable. My clients stay with me a long time. We all go through our "stuff" in life. Most holistic practitioners do what they do because they want a better way of healing their own bodies. I am no different, and learn just as much from my clients experiences as they learn from me. That is a gift to me.
My joys in life, besides my work, are my family, visiting with my two grandchildren, traveling with my husband and finding great "foodie" restaurants or events, my faith and visiting Wells Beach, ME and Newport, RI for the food, family and fun.
